Faux Shearling Coat

Self drafting patterns is an on-going goal of mine.  I love the inspiration and convenience of existing patterns, but sometimes I just need to try to create what is floating around in my design brain.

Stuffies-adorable last minute Christimas gifts

Sewing for Christmas has always been my way of giving. And Christmas gift sewing for little ones is the best.  It feels like I am giving something from my heart.  Sometimes it is a labor of love and sometimes the projects come together quickly.

Christmas Favorites

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  One of my very favorite things about the holidays is all the different treats to make and to try.  Chocolate making, cookie creating, pie baking, fudge and divinity tasting are some of my family’s holiday traditions, but for the last couple of years kind of have an obsession regarding ribbon candy.

The beautiful hard candy can be found in the most vibrant colors and and combines two of my favorite things- candy and beautiful ribbon!  I buy a box of ribbon candy and put it on a candy dish.  For me it is just a beautiful holiday decoration, colorful and glistening.  My kids enjoy it in a different way, breaking pieces off and trying the different flavors, cinnamon, peppermint, cherry, lemon, lime, and vanilla.

What is your favorite Christmas treat?

Glittery Mask

Need a simple Halloween costume?  This glittery mask fit the bill for me last year.  With all the costumes I was making for the kids, I kind of forgot about figuring out a costume for me.

Animal cupcakes

Catching up on some my fun creations, I realized I did not have a chance to share the super cute animal cakes and the strawberry parfaits from last year.  I try to keep it simple for first birthday parties, but I always love to have celebratory dessert.  Although my daughter had her own smash cake, her first experience with real sweets.
