As a follow up to yesterday's post, Ice Skating Inspired Sweater, I wanted to share the American Girl (18") Doll Dress that I made with the same fabric.
My daughter loves American Girl or the Our Generation dolls right now. Thankfully she does not care about the differences but just loves playing especially with all those little teeny tiny accessories. She asks me almost daily about making a specific outfit for one of her dolls, so when I had a bit of extra material left over from the Ice Skating sweater, I decided to make a simple dress.
The matching material and trim, make the two clothing articles similar enough so they do not have to match in cut.
So I am a little obsessed over these doll clothes, and I am looking at my scrap pile in a whole new way! My obsession is justified. Sydney has just asked for an American Girl birthday party. I better get to work!
